Dontyne Gears has a booth at IMTS again this year. This exhibition is well suited to Dontyne activity and we have many existing customers and partners at the show.
Gear Production Suite (GPS) Release 5.9 by Dontyne Systems has additions to design capability such as Stepped/Compound Planetary capability and load analysis of Hypoid but, more importantly for IMTS attendees, there are improvements to gear tool design and new applications for both machine tools and inspection equipment. GPS now integrates hobbing and skiving simulations to honing, and there are improvements in well established simulations for gear grinding, shaping, and shaving including the introduction of additional simulations such as plunge shaving. Also extremely relevant to the attendees are GPS CAM for gear production on 5 Axis CNC Machine Tools, and DOMMS (Dontyne On Machine Measuring System) which integrates with multiple platforms to inspect gear parameters on machine tools, shopfloor measuring devices in-process, or CMMs.
IMTS is an ideal venue to demonstrate the capability of the GPS software to consider design, machining, and inspection simultaneously for more efficient working across departments or between customer and suppliers involved in gear production. Dontyne Gears will be highlighting and promoting work on internal product development and services to our customers. The facilities on-site allow us to offer services for design and providing prototypes or replacement gears including inspection.
